Insurance and Payment Options
What does in and out of network mean?
For some insurance companies it does not make a difference if our office is in or out of network, but for other companies going out of network does make a difference. The difference is the allowable fee of the insurance company. The allowable fee refers to the amount the policy pays for a specific treatment.
Insurance companies or employers may tell patients they have 100% coverage for preventative care: That means 100% of the insurance company’s allowable fee. For example (if we are out of network): If our fee for a procedure is $100, and the allowable fee of a policy is $120, the insurance company will pay $100 and the patient does not owe any co-pay. However if our fee for a procedure is $100 and the allowable fee of a policy is $85, the insurance will pay $85 and the patient will have a co-pay of $15 due to us.
Understanding why our office doesn’t participate or accept HMO/DMO, Medicaid or AHCCCS policies?
We have found that being bound by the provisions or limitations of insurance contracts can impact the quality of care our patients receive. When insurance companies discount fees to the extent that many do, it adversely affects the quality of materials, the labs we can use, the amount and quality of the education we receive annually, as well as the ability to purchase and update our equipment to continue giving our patients the very best service and results that dentistry has to offer. We feel that our patient’s overall health is much more important than to allow the insurance company to dictate their treatment choices based on cheapness not quality.
What Insurance do you accept?

Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry
What are dental veneers, and how can they improve my smile?
Dental veneers are thin shells made from porcelain or composite resin that are custom-designed to typically cover the front surface of teeth, improving their appearance. They can effectively correct issues like stains, chips, or gaps, providing a natural-looking smile transformation.
How long do dental veneers typically last?
Typically, dental veneers can last anywhere from 10 to 15 years with proper care and maintenance. Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene practices can significantly extend their lifespan.
What is involved in the process of getting dental veneers?
The process of getting dental veneers involves several steps, including consultation, tooth preparation, impression-taking, fabrication of veneers in a dental lab, and final bonding onto the teeth. Minimal tooth preparation is usually required to ensure a secure fit.
Can veneers fix crooked or misaligned teeth?
Yes, dental veneers can address minor misalignments, gaps, and unevenness in teeth. However, for more severe cases of misalignment, orthodontic treatments may be recommended instead.
What are the benefits of a smile makeover?
A smile makeover is a comprehensive approach to improving the appearance of your smile through various cosmetic dental procedures. It can enhance the shape, size, color, and alignment of teeth, resulting in a more attractive and confident smile.
How do I know if I am a candidate for a smile makeover?
Determining if you’re a candidate for a smile makeover involves an evaluation of your dental health, aesthetic goals, and the condition of your teeth and gums. Your dentist will discuss your concerns and recommend suitable treatment options tailored to your needs.
What types of procedures are typically included in a smile makeover?
Smile makeover procedures may include dental veneers, teeth whitening, dental bonding, orthodontic treatments, or gum contouring, depending on your specific requirements. A personalized treatment plan will be created to achieve your desired results.
How long does a smile makeover procedure usually take?
The duration of a smile makeover procedure varies depending on the complexity of the case and the number of treatments involved. Your dentist will provide you with a timeline during the initial consultation. Most smile makeovers can be done in 3 visits.
How much does a smile makeover cost?
The cost of a smile makeover can vary widely based on the treatments selected, the materials used, and the expertise of the dental team. It’s best to schedule a complementary cosmetic consultation to receive a customized treatment plan and cost estimate.
Do you offer financing options for cosmetic dental procedures?
We do offer financing options and payment plans to make treatments more affordable for patients. Be sure to inquire about available financing options during your consultation to find a plan that fits your budget.
Are there any alternatives to dental veneers for improving my smile?
Yes, there are alternatives to traditional dental veneers, such as dental bonding or teeth whitening. Dental bonding involves applying a tooth-colored composite resin to the teeth to correct minor imperfections like chips, cracks, or gaps. Bonding may be cheaper and less invasive, but it also does not have the longevity in appearance and strength as veneers. Typically, dental bonding will need to be replaced in 5 years. Teeth whitening treatments can also brighten and enhance the appearance of the smile without the need for extensive dental work.
How can I maintain the results of my smile makeover long-term?
To maintain the results of your smile makeover long-term, it’s important to practice good oral hygiene habits, including brushing and flossing regularly and visiting your dentist for routine check-ups and cleanings. Avoiding habits like smoking and consuming staining foods and beverages can also help preserve the appearance of your newly enhanced smile.
Dental Implants
What are dental implants, and how do they differ from other tooth replacement options?
Dental implants are titanium posts surgically placed into the jawbone to serve as artificial tooth roots for supporting dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, or dentures. They offer a durable and long-lasting solution for replacing missing teeth.
What is the success rate of dental implant procedures?
Dental implant procedures have a high success rate, typically exceeding 95%. Factors such as proper oral hygiene, regular dental visits, and overall health contribute to the success and longevity of dental implants.
How long does it take to complete a dental implant procedure from start to finish?
The timeline for completing a dental implant procedure varies depending on individual factors such as bone density, healing ability, and the need for additional procedures like bone grafting or sinus augmentation. On average, it may take several months to complete the entire process.
Are dental implants suitable for everyone?
Ideal candidates for dental implants should have sufficient jawbone density and good overall health. However, even patients with certain medical conditions may still be eligible for dental implant placement after a CBCT scan and thorough evaluation by their dentist.
What is the recovery process like after getting dental implants?
The recovery process after dental implant surgery typically involves some discomfort, swelling, and temporary dietary restrictions. Most patients can return to their normal activities within a few days, but full healing and integration of the implants may take several months.
How do I maintain and care for my dental implants?
Proper maintenance of dental implants includes daily brushing and flossing, regular dental cleanings, and avoiding habits like smoking or chewing on hard objects. Your dentist may also recommend using special tools or mouth rinses for optimal implant care.
Can dental implants be used to replace multiple missing teeth?
Yes, dental implants can be used to replace multiple missing teeth through techniques like implant-supported bridges or implant-supported dentures. This provides a stable and functional solution for restoring your smile.
What are the potential risks or complications associated with dental implant surgery?
While dental implant surgery is generally safe, there are potential risks such as infection, nerve damage, or implant failure. However, these complications are extremely rare and can be minimized with proper pre-operative planning and post-operative care.
How do I know if I need dental implants or if another option would be better for me?
Your dentist will assess your oral health and discuss your treatment goals to determine if dental implants are the best option for you. Factors such as bone density, gum health, and overall medical history will be taken into consideration.
Can dental implants be used to replace missing teeth in the front of the mouth?
Yes, dental implants are a versatile tooth replacement option that can be used to replace missing teeth anywhere in the mouth, including the front (anterior) region. Dental implants provide a stable foundation for dental restorations such as crowns or bridges, restoring both the function and aesthetics of the smile.
Can dental implants improve the stability and fit of dentures?
Yes, dental implants can significantly improve the stability and fit of dentures through a procedure known as implant-supported dentures or overdentures.
